Statement

Amigos de las Aves was formed by Richard and Margot Frisius in 1980 and is run exclusively by them. It is a non profit organization based in Costa Rica The conservation program is a re-introduction and release program for the Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao) and the Great Green Macaw (Ara ambigua).
