Week 15 of the NFL saw the Kansas City Chiefs having a rough patch as they had lost 4 of their last 6 games. Despite losing games to Green Bay and Buffalo in the previous two weeks, the Chiefs managed to get back on track by beating the struggling New England Patriots 27-17. However, they do not appear to be ready for another run at the Super Bowl. The Chiefs’ offense has not been as explosive as it has been in recent seasons, scoring only 20 or more points once from Week 11 through 14. While the defense has been their saving grace, the offense has struggled due to turnovers by Patrick Mahomes and issues with wide receivers dropping passes. The defense, while impressive, is not what the squad was built around. The team is in jeopardy of missing the playoffs with the Chiefs trailing behind the Ravens and Dolphins in the AFC. Although the remaining schedule is favorable, the Chiefs need to remedy their issues soon.
