Despite the challenges and obstacles, Ryans has exceeded expectations and achieved success in a franchise that has mistreated Black coaches and players. The Houston Texans finally got it right by hiring a Black coach and quarterback and achieving long-term success. If voters are unconvinced, they should look up what happened to Josh McCown when he finally got a coaching job.
