The New England Patriots should have turned to Drew Bledsoe instead of Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe. Unfortunately, neither of these quarterbacks performed at an NFL level during the team’s loss to the New York Giants. Zappe, in particular, struggled to make completions that weren’t screens and failed to move the ball effectively. The Patriots’ ground game, on the other hand, fared much better, but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory. The Giants, despite their 4-8 record, were able to capitalize on turnovers and come out on top. It’s clear that the Patriots need a better solution at the quarterback position, and perhaps turning to Bledsoe could be the answer.
