NFL’s Wild-Card Weekend: Upset Watch
This weekend marks the start of the NFL’s Wild-Card Weekend, and with it, the first round of the postseason. Once a team makes it this deep into January, every game becomes a must-win scenario. There are teams on upset watch this weekend as every game is truly a must-win scenario.
Rams at Lions: The game has the potential to become the most thrilling contest and could turn into a shootout. Even though Detroit has enjoyed 12 wins this season and a division title, the arrival of the Rams should be cause for concern. The Rams have won seven of their last eight games and have a good shot at pulling off the upset.
Steelers at Bills: The Bills enter the postseason as the No. 2 seed and face Pittsburgh, a team that won 10 games with three different quarterbacks this season. While the game feels like a sure victory for the Bills, Pittsburgh’s defense and the Bills’ history of losing games they should have won mean that Pittsburgh could potentially cause an upset.
Packers at Cowboys: Dallas saw the most pushback against teams with winning records this season, and their fans worry about their tendency to lose games they shouldn’t. Meanwhile, the Packers have shown strong performances in the latter half of the season, securing the last NFC wild-card spot. The game could turn into a shootout and Dallas needs to be on high alert to avoid another early playoff exit.
