The Champions Classic is an annual event that features four major college basketball teams, and while this year’s tournament saw No. 9 Duke overtake No. 18 Michigan State 74-65 in the opener, and No. 1 Kansas take down No. 17 Kentucky 89-84 in the nightcap, the games illustrated the high highs and low lows that can occur when teenagers play basketball. The Duke and Michigan State match-up was slow and scored terribly while the Kansas and Kentucky match-up was fast-paced and extremely loud, with the Jayhawks making a huge comeback. Kansas’ Hunter Dickinson was the best player in the second game as he went for 27 points and 21 rebounds in the first 20-20 game in Champions Classic history.
